Mud of the Present

Suddenly I'm stuck
like on that day I drowned.
In the smell of rusty rain
I intensively feel you.

No matter how many insincere reasons I gave,
I've spent my days without touching that light-bending curtain of yours.
What if I had torn it, as if I forgot about it's value?
Since when has your body been loved by rain clouds?

I opened an umbrella,
pretending to know you,
but I got stuck,
as soon as I came closer to you.

By lowering my tiptoes I understood
Your insecurity about where you stand
And amongst all revealed tenderness
I searched for the sunken shoes in my dreams.

I knew, my trite words of comfort
could not help you in the slightest.
I didn't even bother to say any more
until the layers of shadows would lift.

By lowering my tiptoes I understood
Your insecurity about where you stand
And amongst all revealed tenderness
I searched for the sunken shoes in my dreams.

This dried up way is still so long,
but at last I realized my position.

Suddenly I'm stuck
A bit ahead I feel you.
Begging the rusty rain
I go on, into the mud.

By lowering my tiptoes I understood
Your uneasiness of the ways you walk.
I finally abandoned everything unnecessary,
so I can grasp your arm without hesitation!

I finally understood you.
